Claimant Racing Syndicate
New group forming around a promising racehorse, starting on the flat and later over jumps. The maximum group size will be 20. The primary owner will retain 80% of the shareholding. The other sharers will hold a minimum of 3% each, entitling them to equivalent share of the winnings and of the sale proceeds, should the horse be sold. Shareholders will typically get together at race meets, where they can also network with other racehorse owners and trainers. They’ll get regular progress updates and they’ll be able to visit the horse.
Minority shareholders will pay a flat monthly fee only; there will be no entry costs, extras or exit fees. Just one month's notice if to leave the group; shares will be transferred back to the primary owner.
Claimant is a 4 year old bay gelding purchased in April 2011. He has great prospects as a flat racer – and there’s further potential later on, to try him over jumps.
Breeding: 5th foal, half-brother to Dushstorm, multiple winner in Italy at 1m+, also 1m-10f winner in UK; dam unraced half-sister to Peace Role, dual 7f-1m winner at 2, & Silvian Bliss, multiple 7-9f winner at 3-7.
Primary owner Mark Glassett, who has 30 years' experience in racing; trained by Mick Appleby, who was assistant to Andrew Balding prior to taking out his own licence in 2010.
The horse is stabled at a state of the art yard with 1m all-weather gallops, 2 lunge rings, starting stalls, electric horsewalker, hydro-therapy equine pool and infra red heat equipment.
